Marcos García
Marcos García is the head of Cultural Program/ Medialab-Prado (Madrid)

Between 2004 and 2006 Marcos García was in charge of the educational program of MediaLabMadrid with Laura Fernandez; in this context they developed the program of cultural mediation and the project Interactivos. Since September 2006, he has also been responsible with Laura Fernandez of the conceptualization and design of Medialab-Prado, where he takes care of the coordination of the work lines and the schedule of activities.

Marcos has participated in international and national forums on digital culture, media labs and free culture, such as the Free Culture Research Workshop hosted by the Berkman Center of Harvard University, where he presented the text A Lab Without Walls (pdf) developed with Andonio Lafuente and Andoni Alonso, published in 2009.  He has curated the Ways of doing workshops, Approaches, Manuals, Tactics, Strategies and the Operational Art in the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin, 2009) and has contributed to the conceptualization of the Colaboratorio (LPCI), experimentation and production workshop collaborative project of the University of Salamanca (2009).
Media Lab Prado Madrid
Medialab-Prado is a program of the Department of Arts of the City Council of Madrid, aimed at the production, research, and dissemination of digital culture and of the area where art, science, technology, and society intersect. Many workshops for the production of projects, conferences, seminars, encounters, project exhibition, concerts, presentations, etc. take place in its versatile space. All activities are free and open to the general public.
